THE GONKA NETWORK ONBOARDING HUB

ACQUIRE COMPUTE

Get a Node

Each section below is a different way to get a compute node for the Gonka Network, with guides, step-by-step instructions and links to providers.

What your server needs

Rent a server that has all of this. GNOT checks every point before it sets anything up.

  • GPUs of a setup Gonka supports — Every setup, and what it earns, is on Mine or buy.

  • A dedicated server — Never spot, interruptible or preemptible: a server taken back partway through an epoch is paid nothing for that epoch.

  • Memory of at least 1.5 × the GPUs' memory — For example 960 GB or more for 8 × H100 (8 × 80 GB).

  • 1,000 GB of disk — Or more.

  • 16 or more CPU cores

  • Linux with an NVIDIA driver for CUDA 13 — Or CUDA 12.9; pick a system image with CUDA 13 when the provider offers one.

  • Root login over SSH — GNOT connects with it from your computer. No SSH key yet? GNOT makes one on its first step, ready to paste into your provider's form.

  • Ports 8000 and 5000 open — In your provider's dashboard.
